Title: Merry Christmas 2007
Name: Maciej Frolow
Country: Poland
Software: Modo, Photoshop

Every year I`m challenging myself by creating a christmas card image.

This image was done with some inspirations from the imagery of Roddney Matthews or Roger Dean vinyl disc covers. The size of the image is the same.
I had unfortunnely not enough little time to add few details like a cat on the roof, maybe some foot steps in the snow.
Certainly something to do next year :)

Final render 1400x750
Modeling and rendering in Luxology modo.
Retouch end effects: Photoshop.

Not to beat you over the head with a spike bat but it could loose that faint Grey overcast. It kinda kills the mood. Also script typefaces can get a bit difficult to read as headlines so you should try and change the color of the type so that it conflicts less with the white snow and light background. I like the creative ground plane, breaks the image up a bit and makes it feel more imaginary.

Neox3d - thank you :)

beetz15s - thx, good to read some critics, yes the fog is a little ugly, I see that now, some more volume and few colors needed... well I wish I had more time on this but i`m now busy with an assignment until Christmas :shrug:But I like alot the type even it`s unreadable putting snow and a christamas tree automaticly gives the clue to the title :D
