View Full Version : bake simulation - precision issues

Hello everyone,

I have a rigid body simulation of falling cubes (dominos). Now when I bake the simulation the result is very unsteady - each stone wiggles back and forth even when they are standing still. This behaviour is not present when running the simulation, it only appears after baking.
The inaccuracy seems to be present only on the rotation channels and not on translation.
Maybe it has something to do with euler rotation / rotation order?

Any help would be great!

Thank you

hmm, ok - I just found a workaround:
The issue appears when the geometry is grouped (note that the groups were not tranformed in any way, everything 0 0 0 and scale 1 1 1). After ungrouping everything the bake was successful - sounds like a bug to me.

//EDIT

hhhhmmmmm, well, it worked for one array of domino pieces.
Now I tried the same thing for another - and the problem is there again

Hi ,

I don t know if it s the reason of your problem.
But after backing you need to delete the rigid solver .
I know that it can cause some troubles.

Hope it helps
