View Full Version : Male rigged character - emergency solution?

I've been asked to put together a pitch which needs a male character to be animated very simply. I've no experience in CA or rigging, no resources to buy in a solution and very little time to do the job, which means not enough time to learn to rig a character myself.

I notice that v10 comes with rigged characters, one of which is Pandora. How easy is it to transfer that rig to a male character (like Otto II) which I could alter to suit my needs (he's no use in the nip!), or is there an alternative solution anyone can offer?

I can't find any free rigged models, my version of Poser is V5 and not so useful.

use the included autorig that'd be your best bet to not rig yourself.

OK - I've no idea what that is or where I can find it. Is it the Mike's rig in the Content Browser.

I was thinking of trying to rig a modified Otto by following the Flabio tutorial.

yes mikes

It should be much faster than rigging like auto from scratch as the only major step will be weighting.

Right - thanks.

Is there a tutorial anywhere to give me some idea of how achieve this?
