I like image based nurbs modeling.
but there is a wish can be better for maya modelers.

when u create an imageplane in some ortographic view cameras. Alpha gain only applies the current view.
seems impossible to make alpha adjustment for the same imageplane in perspective view camera.

OK clearly:
I created an imageplane for the camera (to reference a model)

I checked "image plane attributes : in all views"
adjusted "Alpha Gain" to transparent stick (ie 0.2)

but on the perspective view this Alpha gain not showing.
only Alpha Gain changes transparancy where it attaced the camera.

so Im using plane with transparancy textured. for image based nurbs modeling.
but that should be good to see transparancy for all views

any idea ?

or any wish thread that commonly used ? in this forum ? could be better than open little threads

This would be a limitation of your video card. If you have a gforce card they do not support hardware image planes(only certain quadro cards and wildcat cards).

3d is only my favorite. cuz Im a painter and a computer engineer.

just working for 3D for my fun.

than to work an imageplane with alpha gain in ALL views

which kind of card can be for me

I got a GForce3

I think I cant give 2000 dollar to better ones :}

which could be better for me ?

thanks for your answer

eerhhm, are you sure this is a limit in the hardware? I cant understand why a geforce card wouldnt be able to render serveral imageplanes with modified alpha gain..
