so, now that adobe has bought macromedia (a while ago actually). is it yet possible to compost a movie directly into flash format through after effects. i am still using AE7.0 and really don;t have any interest in upgrading... unless this is possible, it would make things a lot easier for me. any ideas?

Yep, it's much nicer in CS3 in my opinion. Here's a PDF for you. http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/pdfs/why_ae_and_flashcs3.pdf

Personally, CS3 has turned out to be a very nice upgrade for the production studio cs2 package I was using.

u can try to export in flash with png format and comp in AE:)
