In this new 3d Studio Max tutorial, we are going to create a childís tricycle. This is going to give us lots of practice with such things as the Loft modifier, Boolean operations, and much more besides. Before we begin though, it is extremely important to visualize what the end result will look like. You can try drawing a simple sketch, or looking on the net for some good resource images. A Rube Goldberg machine is an exceedingly complex apparatus that performs a very simple task in a very indirect and convoluted way. They are usually made of household items and take longer to make than do the actual task they were designed for. Good fun though. Here, our machine is going to perform a very simple task. Iím sure you have all seen the lottery machine in action. They are usually glass spheres with metal arms inside that rotate around, mixing the balls up. Then a little hole opens up at the bottom where one of the balls with a lucky number falls down. This is what we are going to create in this new tutorial.
