Nice explosive comp.
Also the 3d'ness you get from PS and AE.
At first it seems 3d. Then looks like Painters liquid brushes...
The result is that matters and is great!

Thank you for your kind words Evan.
I have been using both Photoshop and AE since V1. Actually I worked with a precursor to Photoshop called Digital Darkroom.
A bit of trivia... guess who worked on the engineering team at Digital Darkroom??????
sfx: clock ticking...
Give up?
OK, it was Chris Athanas the original creator of Digieffects - plug-ins for After Effects such as Berserk, Cinelook, Delirium etc. Digieffects has now been sold and Chris A is off doing other things.
I tried Painter a whiile back - when it was with Metacreations and i really did not care for the user interface and i never tried it again since then.

Chris

wow!
i hadn't realized how many greek descendants where involved in the cg software development...
I feel you should give Painter X a try. There is a great leap from the old cluttered metacreation ui.
It has been greatly "PSized", and its natural brushes, are really rewarding, especially if you are using a cintiq..
