Hi there,

I am due to start my new role within a very exciting new company called Yuuguu!

www.yuuguu.com

This is going to be great as we are off to Macworld as one of there must see exhibitors from the 14th -19th Jan 08. Yuuguu is heavily focussed on remote working teams and the ability to share your desktop with people on both Mac and PC's (Someone likes it that much that they even hacked it to work on linux too). It is my job to re-develop the user experience in both the Application and the website and i want to get it straight from the horses mouth so to speak, what works and more to the point what doesn't.

Anyway, i will be in San Francisco for 5 days at the event so if anyone is coming along, come see me and let me know what your thoughts are. We will be demonstrating the all new Websharing featurte which means no dowloads just share straight through your browser and the reason i post this here is that we are developing this for the creative industry.

For people who can't make it to Macworld then just post a reply here and have some fun with the App and see how it can benefit your working process.

Thanks to all and keep up this great Forum.

Neil

Just to clear it out... this something like RemoteDesktop (from windows) or PCannywhere? What are the direct advantages? On the site there isn't really an clear comparisment with other programs.

That is actually a good suggestion, thanks. A clear comparison with what else is out there would be a clear way to see what we have to offer.

Keep them coming!

Thanks,

Neil

You can share your screen and also take control of another persons screen. You will be able to do this through a browser soon with no download needed and soon you will be abel to customize it or have it styled in your brand so clients see it as part of your site.

What i am interested in is what peple think it iss or what message it currently says to you as a first time user. If you have used it before i am interested in knowing why or if you no longer use it then it would be good to know whay or what it did not do that you require from such a service.

Maybe you have downloaded it and never tried to invite anyone else to share ith so it then becomes of no use to you, but tell me why you have decided not to share or invite peoplr to use it.

Be honest and don't worry about hurting our feelings as we want to get this right for you.

Is your product derived from VNC? (like Remote Desktop, and many others are).

Hi Brian,

No its not - it uses a newer protocol that we have created our selves.

Yuuguu enables screen sharing and remote-control just like VNC however it also includes presence and instant-message functionality which VNC does not. Most importantly, VNC is an old protocol and generally requires some sort of configuration such as opening ports in your router/firewall. Yuuguu just works! There is no need to adjust your router or firewall settings with Yuuguu - if you can browse the web then you can share your screen!

Hope this helps,

Neil
