heh, this is my penguin character.....still making some adjustments on colouring and illumination stuff...but u get the idea. Idea was first to greate Linux Tux look like penguin, but i think i could make a great character, and maybe start studyin animation with it. That's why i wanted to keep it simple :)

By the way, give me some name suggestion, what could be a good name for this character. (i may model a puddy for this penguin) :)...so i could have some time with animating them :)

Dean Fathorn..

He plays the sax on a Jazz band, and when he's not jamming he likes to play ice hockey with his buddies: Edwin T Sweetwater (an Arctic Otter who was former penpals with Dean when he lived in the Antarctic, and now plays the Bass on the Jazzband), Cliff Woodbottle (a Tundra Beaver who crafts all the instruments, and plays drums on the band), and Ringer Flatwire (a guitar playing arctic hound who's life with the Inuit Eskimos shows in his attire).

Cool concept. I like the model. Has lots of personality.

How is this possible?

Well, Dean learned the sax from his buddy Leonard Crispwind down south (the pole, that is). His love for the instrument passed the hours while he was sitting on eggs (male penguins tend eggs, while the females catch fish). Leonard and Dean use to play the blues, singing about how the nothing ever changes in the Antarctic. Infact, one day he sent one of his songs in a letter to his Arctic Penpal , Edwin T Sweetwater, and it went like this:

Gonna have me some summer time.
Gonna swim in the lakes
Gonna flow down a glittering river
But now I'm stuck 'ere with some eggs...

Got a feathercoat and wings
Got a mouthful of fish
Got no future in this super windy
Island but I wish...

I could sing my South Pole Blues
In the Streets and Avenues
In the land where....
...dreams come true

So reading this, Sweetwater, who had previously been seeking a spot in the netfishing industry, decided to team up with his polar penpal and form a Jazz band. You see, Edwin knew a Tundra Beaver named Cliff Woodbottle, who not only crafted amazing instruments, but also played the drums. This is what Sweetwater's next letter read:

Dear Dean,

You play a sweet sax, brother. If my timing is correct, eggs wont be hatching till next season. In the meantime, there's a city wants to hear your South Pole Blues. See you in the Streets and Avenues of San Antonio. That's right, Sunny San Antonio. Enclosed is a ticket...

See you Soon,

Edwin T Sweetwater.

Now, Dean Fathorn couldn't believe his eyes. Inside was an Antarctic Air ticket to TEXAS! He knew he had a responsibility with the eggs, but he did want out of the polar doldrums.
Of course, when Leonard Crispwind found out about the opportunity, he told Dean to fly. Leonard always believed in the little guy. In fact, Leonard had tended his egg before he had hatched. So he packed his own sax in a nice blue bag, and saw him off at the airport. Dean promised he'd be back for hatching season...

Thats a LOT of stars you got there :applause:

Try making some nice ring effects (like Saturn's asteroid belt... except with stars)
