View Full Version : simulating fluid w/ curve flow?

greetings all

im attempting to make fluids flow through semi-transparent tubes as shown. problem is, im having difficulty getting the fluids to clump together properly to simulate a fluid. i just end up with these marching lines of spheres.
i haven't been able to get springs to work in this case either.
how can i alter the density of the particles on curve flow?

First of all u need to use biger particles,
and random size.
Add particleShape1.radiusPP attribute
(you can find it among other special particle
attributes)
Use expression in creation like
particleShape1.radiusPP = rand (.2.2)

This you need to experiment to get a right size.
And very important, use blobby particles,
and raise threshold high, maybe 5 or more
depending on size of your radius, size of
you scene...

Oh, almost missed to answer that one.
To raise density, just make higher
rate on emitter.

actually, it helps quite a lot. looks like "threshhold" is what i was searching for. creation expression also seems to be quite useful. thanks again!
