Honestly, I suck with names, and it's hard to peg a discription down to one sentence :) Anyways...


First time I've done a WIP thread, nor have I really charted my progress before...

Still very eary, no real textures, still many details to put in...


Crits and comments are greatly welcomed, as well as ideas for the character itself.

i say you call it skipper. or vampire hunter d, by the hat. whichever.

I showed this to a couple people, and one of my anime loving friends (I love anime to, but I'm not a nut) commented on the Vampire Hunter D thing. I've only read about it, I've never seen a pic, hopefully it's not too close.



Actually, my inspiration was Kung Lao mixed with Audrey Hepburn... ;)

Phew! I can see the resemblence but that's not really the look I'm going for. For one the "hat" is going to be metal, and a bit more shapely (in the vain of Audrey Hepburn :) ).


Doesn't Amano-san of Final Fantasy character designer fame do the same for Vampire Hunter D? I think that's where I read about it...

:P i wouldnt really know... i didnt exactly see a lot of vampire d.... just one movie (which i didnt really like, except for the drawings, obviously, anda few extra gory scenes).

and even though i dont think audrey hepburn would wear a metal hat, i cant wait to see it ;)

I've never modelled a character but so far so good. Looks modern-futuristic so how about a name like Leezzar (kinda after the 5th element Leeloo)?

lol - if i'd go on a fifth elemnt name, i'd go with "brucey" ;)


try doing a pelendrom of a favourite sci-fi charcter - who know, perhaps youd find something interesting ;)

Very quick render, still textureless, and I've been trying to find time for this model...I plan on spending some more time on it though...
