I came across a scenefile of an old room I did and thought, "Hey, it would be whiz-bang if I could do animated curtians"
So I pulled out the HelpDocs for Maya and did the shirt one. Then I looked through the rest and did some tests. Here are my problems.
make the cloth arched around a constraint (curtian rod). I can constrain the curve to a locator easy, but the curve must be planar when I make the cloth.
hooking it up to air, or similar dynamics. MayaDocs say, "If ... constraining cloth points, ... Pick the vertex points you want to constrain." Is this the ones I want to move or the ones not moving... neither make it work  I even turned up my magnitude to 100 (it made those partices fly!)
I wish the doc gave an example instead of just the explination :annoyed:
I couldn't find any help on the net or searching through here. I figured anything like a "waving flag" tut would help, but the only one I found used softbodies (and it didn't look right)
