CGTalk - May WIP- suggestion

Hello! to ya all!
This may be a bit early but I just thought it was such a good idea I just had to write it down and share my "vision".:rolleyes:
What about making a picture where you are supposed to capture a mood in a little melody? We had (still has?) a guy called Taron on this forum who also made music. He used one of Pascals Blanchés pictures, Pascals avatar, for a cover on one of his CDs. (?) You culd download some of his melodies on download.com a while back. He might contribute with a tune or two? Unless someone want to risk copyright complications or what ever people a suing other people for in these days. :rolleyes:
It would be soo cool to see what people "see" in music! It´s a very visual forum but when we work with 3D and 2D, don´t we often (always?) do it to music?

The idea is a really good one. I would like to step in into this one.

But it´s ways too early... the new (april) challenge hasen´t even began :D

its now april 13. and i guess their will not be an april challemnge ....or its gonna be the texturing challenge..
it would be fun to start a new challenge on may 1rst.

and i just wanna say that this idea is great because ive been here since pasal blanché started his challenge with the alienish pirate.... trhat idea was really good ...it was different .. but now were getting bakc to old cg pathetic subjects : post apoliptic...demons...etc thats all deja vu!

thought i read the april challenge was postponed to Apr 15.

interesting idea. perhaps it's a June challenge. but not sure what the visual would be - when i "see" music, it's not a 3D object - more like 2D. even the 3d stuff on music players (the "visualizers") are more than what i see. something wrong with me???

well just to clarefy some details before they become issues:
1) I know it´s a bit early... but I´m one of those selectivly impatient guys.. :)
2) csven... noting is wrong with you. I think... ;)
3) The thing was this: We all lisened to one tune and we produce a picture from the emotions and mental images we all have.
It culd be 3D or 2D. it dosn´t matter. What would be the interesting part is what diffrent people "see" or experience from the same thing when we have such vastly diffrent backgrounds and intrests. How diffrent are we?
well thats the thought anyway...:shrug:
Hope this seed will grow in all of you to flurish when the time comes. :grin:

I love this visualization of music idea! it will make people think beyond the boundaries of dimension. it would be a great exercise in abstraction. would the participants all listen to the same song? it would be interesting to see all the different interpretations of the same music...

when does the next challenge start?

on the down side - everyone will hate the particular melody by the end of april :)

yeah lachlan. thats true. its like when u get rid of one of ur teeth and u have to eat jello for 2 weeeks...after u hatrte jello...
