Hi;

I have been busy doing tests on clothhilde and the last thing I tried to do was pinning a cape like cloth on a character, much like a cape buckled on two ends to the chest. So I fixed the points around the two ends, the cloth simulated just perfectly. Yet, when I tried parenting the cloth to the animated object or one of the joints driving its deformation, the cloth would still go on simulating on its own. I tried almost everthing, to no avail :( Hope this is not a limitation, can anyone please help?

thanx

Got it... phew!! :) The belt tag of course :) But wish points could be belted to any old object besides meshes, especially nulls. But, all's well that ends well, that's what I say :)

cheers

Belting uses a sort of UV mapping to determine and store the belting position, so the belted points can follow deformed mesh. Unfortunately such information is not available for Nulls
