View Full Version : texturing issue
addicted2_3D 04-20-2003, 01:01 AM Is there any way of doing this in c4d?
I have modeled a spaceship and have the textures I want to use of the top bottom images and just want to project them on the model. Then stitch the top n bottom image together to make it the texture of the ship. How do I go about doing that? I presume it will have to be in BP, but am uncertain of the steps. Any suggestions?

Yoe can select the polygons of the bottom of the ship and do " set selection" and name it bottom. Do the same for the top of your ship.
when you assign the materials type the name you gave the selection tags in the selection input box.

thats true. Basically I got the top and bottom still pictures I used as reference that I would like to start as the base in BP. So I've done a set selection and applied the texture in BP, but am wondering how I can do that for the other side. BAsically breaking up the craft with set selections and having them all in 1 texture and not all unfolded which makes figuring out what ur doing impossible. I have 1 texture right now that is flat projected on the top using set selection, and the mesh looks alright, but now how do I do that for all the rest?
