Title: .:Close Encounter:.
Name: Christopher Shepherd
Country: USA
Software: CINEMA 4D, Photo-Paint, Photoshop

When I was six yeard old, I went to see the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"...It was one of the first times I ever went to the movies...It was a magical experience for me. So I guess this is a tribute to my fond memory of seeing the film when I was a kid.

Somehow I don't think visiting aliens are quite so benevolent as portrayed in the movie. Rather, In my mind, they are far more sinister....

I worked on this on and off for about 3-4 months. Made in Cinema4D R10.5, and Photoshop for post work. The trees are Xfrog trees. I made the moon and ship. About 25 lights used here...Background photo is of Tucson,Arizona at night.

I hope you enjoy this.

Totally OT, but..

And why is that, sir? Why would they travel thousands of lightyears just to gun us down
with rayguns or something? Everything that is foreign or unknown just have to be sinister or evil?

Don't go for the Hollywood hype, the aliens are our friends, Christopher.. ok?
