Hello.
I'm sculpting with mudbox and i was thinking about buying a bamboo from wacom.
I have already worked with an intuos 3 a5 which was perfect, but i'm afraid the 512 pressure and the lower resolution of the bamboo woul be not enough.

I would be shocked and amazed if you could even remotely tell the difference between 512 levels of pressure and 1024. I would say that even 512 is way more sensitive than you could control... but then again, I do not have an Intuos or Bamboo, I have a regular old Graphire.

You'll be fine with 512 pressure levels and the lower resolution. The only factor that might be a problem is the smaller pen area and lack of Intuos-style pen tilt (is pen-tilt supported in Mudbox?).

Szos, I do notice some difference in pressure levels when using my tablet PC versus my Intuos3. The tablet has 256 pressure levels and in certain programs (artrage, PS CS3), when using a very large brush, I notice a 'less smooth' transition when applying a stroke of varying pressure. However, this could be due to the relatively slow CPU in the tablet PC (TC1100).

I'm pretty sure I could eliminate this completely by adjusting brush settings or perhaps changing the resolution of my source files.

Ok thanks.
And a resolution of 2540 is enough compare to the 5080 resolution of the intuos 3?
