I think it's because peeps have seen alot of cars lately, and it also looks like your buddies did most of the ego stroking over there, I only seen maybe two solid crits. Also if you check the gallery http://gallery.cgtalk.com/index.php?category=4 you'll see the response these threads received. When it comes to cars I think peeps here want to see photorealism at it's best. So this is the type of quality you should be trying to achieve if you're to add this type of model and such to your reel. Just a suggestion

Also there's something not sitting right with me about your renders, the car's lights themselves are particularly odd to me. Thirdeye01 has some great crits in regards to cars, cause it's all he does. And these days you need a nice environment to really showcase your cars. We've seen alot like this :) It's kinda on par with the male human head heh.

HAHA, yeah, i forgot wipers. damn. they will be put on ASAP. also lilD, just to let you know, I dont know ANYONE over on CGC, so no buddies were stroking the ego. i guess i got lucky eh? ;)

amb3: thanks! ive tried very hard to get the showroom look. Some people dont like the showroom look. I do, so thats why I have put them in this enviro. You guys will soon see them in a different enviro, and hopefully then everyone will like what I have done. Oh well, thanks guys.

Good model, indeed, but there is something wrong with the renders, the lights in particular. I could be wrong but it looks like the image (or it's source) is very compressed and there is some odd blur in some edges.
