Hi all,
Here is a link where you can find some modelisations about my first character making.
In addition, you'll find some others prefabs. They'll all be in a short-film that I hope to release by the end of june.

Main inspiration : the Manga PORCO ROSSO from Myiasaki. I really like all works from this animation studio. :drool:

Any comments or help welcome :) because it's a big project for the n00b that i'm :hmm:

just forgot to say : some prefabs are without meshmooth, it'll be fixed in the futur ;) and i'm curently work on the skinning :) OMG it's hard !

Hey, thatīs really nice work.
Iīm not shure if you need to change the lips, i like those ones they go fine with the hole.

Are you thinking in animate him? canīt wait to see those mostaches (donīt shure if i wrote it right) swinging in the wind.

Sweet! That's definitely got the porco rosso vibe. I think the mouth works like it is also, especially for that style..then open it HUGE when he screams :D I love the big muttonchop sideburns, though they could be a little more dynamic from the side view.

Great stuff and look forward to more :thumbsup:


P.S. I really hope Porco Rosso is in buena vista's release plan somewhere, it's always the one people forget to mention when talking Miyazaki..it's awesome they brought over Kiki and Laputa, but I love that pig just as much :D

octopus77 : thx. Yep i'll animate it and his moustaches ( come from frensh i think :)) too off course :D I can see a big fan in prefabs, it give u a idea about his moustaches and sideburns animation :)

hypercube : thx too. i see that u kwow the manga, it's cool hehe. I'm about to work on his facial animation (morpher) and i'll post soon some pics with several mouth behaviors.
About his sideburns, they'll be more mynamic during animation i promise ;) But they are static for assignation facilitated.

I like anime/toons style. Reminds me of what Miyazaki's anime might look like in total 3D.
