hey all,
so i started playing around with zbrush today and was making progress until i realised that some of the geometry menu seems to missing??

when i see tutorials/manuals etc, they all have a lot more, whereas mine only has the options to subdivide, smooth and optimize.. and although pressing shift+D works in going down a subdivision level, i cant seem to go back the other way by pressing d and the option's not there in the geometry menu..

sorry, i know this is probably a really basic question but i'm stuck! and i tried resetting the interface but that didnt seem to work either... any ideas would be hugely appreciated!! cant wait to start making good art with this programme..

thanks lots in advance :)

Hi,

it sounds as if you're using one of the primitives from the Tool menu, right? If so, you have to convert them to a polymesh in order to get access to all the functions under the Geometry menu. This is achieved very easily by hitting the

"Make Polymesh3d" button

under the Tool menu. If you're not using a primitive, please report back.

Cheers,
Yann
