Now the render itself is 1024x768 with medium AA, raytraced shadows, reflections, 3 lights(2 back, 1 front) and a HDR image.
I am aiming for a realistic and warm look with this one.
Personally I think the main thing is that the brick wall should be moved back or done into a 3d wall with some depth.
And perhaps also add some more detail to the scene/background to have it look nicer.
I am up for ideas, critisism and suggestions ofcourse, to improve the image.

The glass is very realistic with the hdr image. I think the "Hillside Estate" label takes away from the realism of the glasses, it needs to have a more shiny waxed look. And yes I agree the background needs work, you could use displacement mapping and bump mapping on the stones. The wood map is also a little low-res. For a warmer look I would tweak the lighting so that there is colour in it (more than one light).

the lighting will need to be more natural if you want to have that warm look. it looks very CG right now because there's no bounced light. you say you used hdr for the reflections. what software package are you using? try using GI.

That wall has definitely gotta go. Bump mapping ain't gonna do it for you-- the lighting on the rocks in that texture is totally different from that in the rest of the scene, and it shows. Displace or model some rocks instead, and push it back about a foot.
As for the bottles... is the glass green? I'm having a hard time telling... it's almost black. Doesn't give the impression of red wine being inside, but I don't know what color of glass you're going for. Either way, I think it could use more transparency.

Ahh yes, great suggestions so far
Certainly gonna do something about the wall tomorrow.
Then move on to the lighting.
Using Lightwave for it.
And as for the wine bottles itself, Merlot is the red wine.
And the green glass bottle I am not completely happy with is the white wine, I decided not to actually have any "wine" in the bottles and to solve it with some nice glass instead :)
The green perhaps needs to be lighter and that's what was bothering me, gonna see how it looks best.
Gonna have a newer shot up soon

I agree with wgeddes on the lighting, I was going to mention the same thing (bouncing light, global illumination, colour bleeding etc...). And yeah the background should be replaced.
http://www.3dlinks.com/textures_free.cfm is a good place for a list of free texture sites. I like Mayangs Free Textures. I hope it's ok to post URLs.

Ok, been a while, but I have been distracted, on a trip and doing other things, finally got to pick it up some time ago and replaced the temp background with a modeled one.
Also added some shadowing(via image projected by spotlight) to the whole place(looks like a rainy day ;) ),
worked a bit more on some wine bottle surfaces and left out anti aliasing from the render because it made the background look blurry for some reason.
