View Full Version : How to create a blurry reflection stretched horizontally?

Hello,

i d like to know, if there is a posibility to blur reflections unproportionally, eg. more horizontally than vertically. My aim is to create a blurry reflection on a steel material that is stretched horizontally.
To my mind a reflection-shader for that aim should have the ability to type in different values for x- and y-blur-durections.

Does anybody know something like this or how to get results ike that?

Thank you very much

i think it would be better to use a post production work!
ie: use the Multi pass rendering, and blur the reflection layer on a soft that works with layers like photoshop!
and if it's an animation use a compositing soft like after effect.

What projection are you using now?
Have you tried flat or cubic ?
Can you show a sample of what you want to see ?

Currently only the volumetric shader materials support anisotrophic reflections.
