Wonderful model, too! Looks just like it, very clean. Texturing the keys must have been a LOT of fun!

This is very good, brings back memories when I used to design games on it.
How computers have become more complicated, it is amazing.

I remember christmas '88, I was only 4 and there was these enormous boxes under the christmas tree(screen, computer and 5''1/4 disk reader!!!). So much of memories in there. I played to donald duck (http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http%3A//www.lemon64.com/games/details.php%3FID%3D747) and ghostbusters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghostbusters_%28Activision_video_game%29#Ghostbusters_.28Activision.29)

4*

Thanks for the nice comments, funny thing: About an hour after I submitted this image I saw that CNN has a news item about C64 on their first page! Apparently the 64 has it's 25 year birthday on Monday.

Hehe Yep! This is the little guy that got me hooked on video games and programming.

Too bad I never stuck with it and just became a lazy artist!

Great work BTW!

Andrea...mas ekapses re file....
I wonder what will come next after the keyboard and the 1530 tape player.....
A quickshot II turbo joystick maybe?????
I bet you never thought that a product shot can have so much emotion in it...
I know I didn't for sure:D

Louischo's lemon64 link and Roberto's POKE 532841 line just blew me away...
I had totally forgotten about PEEKs and POKEs man....

Now excuse me while i climb up to the attic to get my Zzap64s.....as soon as i finish listening to all the KATAKIS musics....

Thank you very much for reminding us those days... Computing was much fun back then...

Actually I modeled an Amiga 1200 and an Amiga 500 but I didn't have time to finish texturing the keys. Now I'm far away from my family's home where I still keep my beloved ones.

Anyway, thanks again and again... In a time most people choose to model Playstations, iPods and cell phones you made an excellent choice... C64 and Amiga, never die!

I remember this one.
It was my first computer, actually it was computer of my brother.

Hey I would like to see a tape player, maybe a tape and "quickshot" joystick.
Can we expect that?

5* fom me

Ah, thanks for this. A while ago someone did a Commodore tape drive and I was hoping someone would do the computer itself. It was a computer that was ahead of its time. I loved it dearly.

Then computers got boring again. Then about the mid-ninties they got exciting again... and never looked back.

The Commodore 64 was a great unit for its time. I learned BASIC on a Trash-80 at my local Radio Shack but when we got the C64 I was in heaven. At the time it was a brilliant design.

Anyone have Frogger on the C64?

Oh, and thanks for the rear pannel shot. That was the first thing I was going to ask for when I saw this.

Great work, great subject!

Nice modeling and subject.

It was 1982 when I bought my Atari 400 with 16K of RAM memory!
The days when Pac Man, Zaxxon and Donkey Kong ruled the world. ;)

Later in the 1980's I got the Amiga, the best Computer I've had.

Thank you for the memories. Congrats! :)

najjaci: I actually already did the tape player. Look at this (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=132&t=496968)

LS Knight: That was me who did the tapedrive, and I see that you also commented in that thread. (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=132&t=496968)
