on deviantart i'm starting on doing a story and have the story consist of numerous images following through the story(not like a comic book but more like individual images). i'm doing this to draw more often because i've lost my creativity due to lack of doing original stuff (i've been doing alot of still lifes :P). problem is that i don't want to spend alot of time on one image, i want the whole scene to look good but not have to go into serious detail so the look is great. so i found some cover ups and figured they would work for the mages. i kept most of the lines on and blured them on a separate layer. the shading is easy after that...heres what i have...
