i have a city scape which is my matt painting and im going to have a spaceship flying towards the city. If i render a video out of max of the ship, how do i crop the space in the video so i can have just the ship in after effects? not sure if that was good exlanation. but in general is there way of cropping out videos, or rendering it out of max in a way that it doesnt include the background?

render out a targa file or file series. make it 32bit. it will them have an alpha channel.
