I haven't done low poly before except doing some experiments on low poly humanoid models, so i really need ur suggestions & harshest critics you can give. Actually this one isn't meant to be a low poly model but the way i see it it's good enough as a low poly, and i'm satisfied with the current look of it. Then i optimize some parts and here it is. before optimized : 3820 faces, after optimized : 3412 faces.

I won't do any texturing on this one simply because I'm really sucks at 2D and I still have a lot to learn about unwrapping & texturing a model. Perhaps I'll do it in the future, but surely not now.

it's very basic, but good for a first model. if you're not making a low-poly game model, why not add more detail and bevel the edges? add wires, hydraulics, etc. that thing isn't going to move on it's own hehehe.

add more detail to things like the gun barrels and to the legs. and give us a better render, because isometric renders are not fun to look at.

I think it looks pretty damn good. Get some texturing maybe?

don't start texturing yet. bevel those edges, and add more detail!!! i already told you. that mech needs hydraulics, and more intricacies in general.

like i said i decide to keep this one as low poly model. Now I've done some more optimization now i got 3178 faces. I have done a test animation, but can't find any place to link the file.

I get the same response everywhere "do the texture!". So, i'll try to do texture on this one. Truth is i just don't like doing 2d. And yes, I can use photoshop, but never use it for painting from scratch :arteest:. So i'll need alot of guide on this one plz. :bounce:

*crossing my finger*

First, thing i still confuse about unwrapping. I guess this is kinda silly question for most of you but this bothers me : how do you decide which part will be painted together as one part and which part should be separated?
