Heres a couple of looks. Working out some areas in Modo301 before I move the mesh into Zbrush. I hope to have the main figure mesh done by end of weekend, then hit the props during weekend then have the rest of the time for ZB3 work. If I dont get slammed at my job , i should be able to finish in time.

I'm about ready to start shaping the hands and attach them to the mesh. Toes will be next.
The hands will be quite, well....., a hand full, so Im going to spend a lot more time there. The deadline extension will be put to good use.

Hello,
Here,s a few looks at what I did today. Im not bothering with trying to replicate the ref image. I found several dozen kool statues of this thing and I'm just kinda wing'in it.

Yeah its all Modo so far. While I'm sure I could get decent results sculpting in Modo, I'm not too cumfy with setting up good UVs. Just have not put the needed amount of time into it. ZB3 is how ill sculpt up the details. I should'nt need to do a lot if I can get this base mesh set up well to begin with. Time will tell, I have several days off during the up coming holidays and look forward to really diving into this project. And also, I've had a lot of looks at this thread but no posts, feel free to speak up if you think of something to say, I'm very think skinned and know how to take good crits and bad ones.
I'm out, and good luck to all, and have fun.

Heres a few renders. Not sure about the large tusks. What do you people think? Remember, I'm not simply trying to copy the reference images, they are just a spring-board for where this model will be going. I'm also starting to work on adding a bunch of "bondage" like trinkets too... might be fun. The actual setting for the stature is still up in the air. I have a few ideas, I'll post later next week.

Final(almost) looks at the base mesh. I Have some more harness and trinkets to start. I'm still very idea-less(bouncing 3 ideas at the moment) about how Im going to handle the Setting.

Hi Puzzle,
Nice model, but actually Ganesha should have a round belly and a huge one at that. Basically he is dwarfish so u need to make his legs stumpy and feet the same way too.

Hey, this is just based on Ganesha, not a copy. More of a cross between some of the references I came across and how I in vision the final piece.

Hello all!
I hav'nt posted in a couple weeks. Not too sure if I will post at all. I just started my first semester at AnimationMentor.com and have been busy with that. Been real fun so far. On top of working fulltime and co-teaching a 3d modeling and animation class here at Florida State University, my free time has been somewhat pinched. I have been following the thread and really like some of the work so far. Keep it up, and again, If I can get some time i'll tweek up the model I already have and post for the deadine. My fingers are crossed.
