Your composition is very good, but the execution is terribly inconsistent.

The red hair does not look in any way attached to the woman's head. It looks like semi-opaque, wide swashes of color. This emphasizes the "un-real" effect of poser bodies.

The male on the left is excellently rendered, and does not look very "Poser-ish," but the other two look fake as fake can be...Something about the way Poser does joints, I think, but they almost scream, "fake anatomy rendering..."

Good luck on tweaking it in time to meet the deadline!

Thanks CybrGfx... yeah the red hair is just the basic brush strokes at the moment still a lot to do there. I normally paint over large portions of my Poser models, I know that the right hand guy needs a lot of work doing around the shoulder and bicep area and the girl needs a much nicer bum and waist. Hmm, think the elbows need some work too.

Still hope not to have to do much more than that on the anatomy as time realy is gonna be limited and I am not the fastest worker! Hair and background should be on the next update later tonight.

Little bit of an update... am trying to get some movement into the poses, a very good friend and excellent critique of mine has said that it seems to lack eroticism... is this so, I thought that I had captured an erotic idea, any suggestions?

Ok update mainly dealing with the girls bum! Decided to do a complete re-paint of her posterier to make it more feminin and attractive as the Poser model had failed totally. Obviously will need some polishing still.

Have also worked on some of the highlight areas of the girl - the boys have not had any work done on them so far.

Starting to take shape. Looking good.

The guys having their arms clasped behind them seems "off," somehow, though. Especially with the body language leaning away from the woman. Perhaps one arm stroking hers, or reaching for her butt. Something to make them look more involved, and less disinterested or pulling away.

I like the way the hair is shaping up.

Thanks Cybrgfx for keeping an eye on this thread, I appreciate your input. The guys are actually bound to her and each other in an elaborate bondage set-up (not readily apparent at the moment), additionally their detachment is important to the themes developing in the piece.

My problem here is that the picture has transformed into something not necessarily erotic and is moving away from the purpose of the competition for which it is intended. The competition has actually had its deadline extended a short while but I don't think I can finish this in the way that I would like in the time that I have _ I do however intend to finish it as a personal project quite soon.

Here then is a revised entry into the same competiton. I have ditched any attempts at putting subtle symbology and story into this and tried to remain purely focused on the erotica of the pin-up image - my first proper pin-up!

Just the roughed in sketch at the moment.

So please you lot, let me know crits you have :)

As I figure the facial expression will be quite important to the sexual nature of this piece I thought I would post my WIP for the face itself. This is the first time that I have developed a face purely in photoshop and certainly at such close-up rendering - I am trying to rid myself of using Poser!

Anyhow, I have a copy of ImagineFX at my side with a tutorial or two for this but would very much like some input from anyone with a little more knowhow.

The expression needs to say "Im yours.. come and do whatever you like" It needs to have a little bit of cheek in there somewhere too.
