View Full Version : Particle Sampler Info Node
awells 12-03-2007, 11:38 PM Sooo, I have a set of particles that're shaded with a fluid shape, which is controlled using a particle sampler info node. I attempted to control the opacity of the fluid by linking the particle shape opacityPP to the fluid shape opacity input bias, but this had no effect. Suggestions?

If i remember rightly you hook a particle sampler node into the x value of a setRange node, for instance the lifeIncandescance into inputX. Then set the old min and old max to the values you set on the fluid shape incand for example values could be 0.8 for old min and -0.2 for old max, then set new min and new max to 0 and 1. This will normalise you fluid shader values so that your particle will change over its lifespan.
something like that anyway, I may have to brush up a bit.
