View Full Version : Four view layout - now what?
Undseth 04-18-2003, 12:43 PM hmmm I fiddled with the cameras in my four-view layout in Maya...
and now I apparently have the same "side-view" camera in two of my four views. And I cannot successfully change one of them to say the front view.
And I can now see my model from the front, but the view states its the side view. Now I'm confused.
I though I knew the layout settings.
Any thoughts on this issue?

hold down the space bar, and without moving the mouse at all, hold down the left mouse button, you can now change any of the views, to what ever view you want =)

EDIT:
Nah, I still have a problem.
In my four view, having (somehow) changed two cameras to the same view, I cannot use the spacebar to change TO MY SIDE VIEW (in my case). I can set to perspective (but I already have that view) or top view (but I already have that view), but changing from front to side does not work (nothing happens).
Trying to set the four view layout to "four view" on the left sideof the screen, I get this:
Warning: Could not find an appropriate startup camera: side. A substitute will be used.
I haven't deleted anything!?!
Simply click Panels > Orthographic > Front/Side/Top
