Inspired by Blizzard’s Warcraft 3 and Gears of War I modeled Prince Arthas as I imagine he would appear if the new WoW expansion pack was going to use the UE3 engine. I used Softimage XSI to create the low poly mesh, Mudbox to create the high poly mesh, and Photoshop for the textures. Polycount is sitting at 7994.

Awesome!
But doesnt Arthas have long blond hair? Also it would be cool to see him with the lich kings hemlet on :)

BTW, WoW with UE3 would be really cool, too bad it's never going to happen :(

Wow, I bow down to you. That is an impressive piece. I spent a couple minutes trying to find something wrong with it but, I just can't. haha.

Nice job, can you post a close up of the head wireframe? It looks like the mouth might have a hard time animating-there aren't many loops around the mouth. The hair looks good, but I actually prefer the size and volume in the wireframe pic without alpha. Might look better with slightly larger polys or adjusting the alpha so that it doesn't cut off quite so short. Although you might want short hair :). The skin looks a little wet right now, perhaps the spec map needs adjusted? Post some grabs of the mudbox sculpt and some different angles if you have them too!
