I am trying to visualize a database.

Therefor I want to have a few solids that are connected to each other with a line. (Solid-line-solid-line-solid)

I would like to know if I can connect these solids with a line in between witch if I move the solid, will stay attached to it aswel. I want to do this in a 3d space.

I tried 3d stroke but it can't be applied to a 3d object.
I also tried a shape instance, but that doesn't have beginning and ending coordinates (x,y,z)

Check the COW, there's a tute using the beam effect. otherwise do a search. I certainly have eplained that a bunch of times by using solids and expressions.

I looked at the tutorial regarding the beam, but the beam only has an x and a y coordinate. I would like to use a camera and fly past and over the solids in a 3d environment.

is this also possible with a beam?
