Ok i have written a math test that's why i hadn't so much time to model but i started this evening and this is what i've got so far, don't have so many reference pictures only 3 pieces but it will work (I hope)
Had to start with a woman face from the Internet.

How'd the test go?
Okay start so far, Let me know if you are up for any facial anatomy crit.
Keep in mind the way one carves out stone to form these faces, alongside
regular anatomy, and you'll be fine.

Thank god christmas is over :D now i can restart to model.
This is how far i was before christmas, had some problems with the breasts don't know how to make them, i have tried it with spheres then with inset...but nothing looks ok :( , the lower body i think i will take a reference picture of a lion or a dog.

Just blocking out the mesh or testing how it will look like :) because the lower body parts should be from an animal.

Thanks Roberto.
Made some updates on the arms and the ornament on her neck, this ornament was easy to do because i have used the cloth modifier :D I detached the tail because of symmetry.
Hope you like it.

I think there's something wrong either the woman body is too long or the animal body is too big, hmm.

Here's what I got so far have to make the wings and the front feet. The wings i think i will make as a normal or displace map because on the sides are weird feathers and i think that it would be hard to model them.

I think the problem is the back legs aren't long enough and they aren't flat on the ground. The front legs need to be straight down and her back needs to be arched higher. I'm thinking of a doberman sitting straight (http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&svnum=10&hl=en&q=doberman+sitting&btnG=Search+Images).
