View Full Version : Problem Rendering Animations
My problem is that when I render animations, all the render is Ok but it seems that lights in the trees are animated, they turn dark and bright like flickering. Anyone knows why?
My settings are: Depth of Field OFF - Motion Blur OFF - Optimize Volumetric Lights OFF - Optimize Last Render Pass OFF - Ignore Infirect Light on Plants OFF - Advanced Effecs Quality 46% - Antialiasing method SOFT 6-10
Please, any body can help me???
Best regards,
Joa

Hi Joa,
I have the same problem and I'm currently running a bunch of tests to see if I can at least minimize the shimmering and flickering. Apparently it's caused from high resoultion materials not getting anti-aliased properly - as you probably know there's a "advanced animation" options box that allows you to turn on flicker-free mechanisms - but I have not had much luck with that yet - they just seem to blur my frames. One other thing I'm going to try is motion bluring - theoretically that should help. If you get any luck with this - please let me know! Jim

6-10 AA, even using soft isn't enough. You should start at 8-27, quality 80%. In your plants, removing the bump on the leaves help eliminate the flicker, and looks better anyway, imho.
I found that materias using a basic repeater node for bump production flicker more, so you may want to change the bump node to a true fractal and adjust scale accordingly.
