Hi, Im working on a little complex model (my first) and the scene become slow, when I add a part on my car, its take some time to appear. So i want know if its exist a way to speed up the scene (like if you move or add something, the model come low res)!?

I have a pIV 2.4ghz, radeon 9700 pro 128, 512ram

Did you get the Performance Pack update for max 4?

Well your PC is a lot more powerful than mine, and I don't have that problem too often... when I use a few tricks. Here are some things that help. First, adding a mesh select to the top of the stack will speed up viewport response in a lot of instances. Also, making sure that only 1 viewport is in a shaded mode helps. I usually model to the point where I am sure of a smoothed models' integrity, then apply meshsmooth only at render time, that also speeds up things due to the lower poly count in the viewport. You may want to check for a video card driver update as well, I would think your PC should handle this stuff a bit better.

Just a side note, but i have found out that if you turn off edged faces while movien around in the viewport it tends to speed up quite a bit for me
