Hey man, looks great, but whats up with the 3 spheres. How are you doing the reflections? HDRI?

Yes... HDRI for reflections... oh how i love HDRI
The spheres were there for testing but i (for some reason) left them there. Im rendering a hi-rez version without them.

the only thing that bothers me about the render is that it looks like there is no glass over the watch face. If you could get a reflection on the face I think it would look perfect.

Yeah i know what you mean... that was my main issue too. For the life of me i cant figure out why the glass isnt reflecting the HDRI. Not even a little. ?
thanks for your replies digtlpete

Heya,
The environment (which the glass material would reflect) doesn't appear to be all that bright - the reflection is probably there, but very weak.
Best regards,

the glass, is it a plane or curved ? if it is a plane, maybe it is too small in relation to the HDRI, it might just be reflecting a black spot....or ain't that possible?
just thinking loud...

(should i just replace the first one or post another?)
DeCarlo: HDRI!! wonderfull stuff. Tho, im not sure how/where HDRI works in maya.
Buggy166: Im assuming its a reflection ey.
ZeBoxx: Hiya.. im gonna try a dif. HDRI map, maybe that will work.

i know what your saying ... it went away in the last render, but it made the image to bright overall.

Nice colors on that watch
I'd like to see how it looks with a different colored background

first render was better. and agreed about the no glass on the main part. other than that, looks good. nothing a bit of tweaking couldnt handle. :)
