Did this the other day cause a friend suggested it for practice. Unfortunately it /is/ geoshitties, so just remove the "?" from the end of the URL. Or something.

Not bad at all for your first textured model! That shell is screaming for a bump map though.

it actually has one, its just when it put the bump higher then what it is, it looks really fake and plastic-y.

about the fake and plastic-y look. To get rid of that, make high res bump maps that are sharp. By sharp i mean there are few grey tones. And if there are then the transition between color tones should be sharp, not gradual. This can help to get rid of that soft look. (unless in some cases, you may want that ) I don't know what software you are using, but with higher res image the bump map it is, the safer is is to turn down the 3dsmax "map blur" equivilant, without seeing any signs of pixels in the bumpmap. Otherwise nice first textured model.
