It's a bit dark. By that I mean you might want to color correct a bit and adjust the gamma a little.

Since your character on the horse is in the background already, a little depth of field might help.

Also, the stone street is a bit flat. You might want to adjust the bump. Try lowering the delta value if possible and/or increase the overall bump height.
The same goes for the barrels.
You could convert the bump into a normal map which could bring out some detail in those areas and make these areas interact with the lighting better.

I would highly reccomend putting some light around the character in the foreground to bring the composition out a little.
Make the light come from the left just outside the frame as if it were moonlight or a lantern to slightly illuminate the character without ruining the concept.

Not bad overall though.
Keep with it!

the shadows are very dark on the character in the front. either go with what lifelikecarcass suggests or put a pointlight overhead with some blue in the light to create some moonlight. :)

I like the motif of this piece, and its a good start. The shading/lighting needs some work thoguh. The knight appears not to be casting a shadow, even though right behind him is a light source. Some work on the shading could increase the sense of "hiding", as seen in the character behind the barrell. Keep up the hard work.
