View Full Version : Projection mapping a Matte against a model

Hi

I have a Z model of an entire town that I need to texture up, I am going down the traditional route of applying UVW maps to the model however because of the time involved in doing this I am leaning towards the use of mapping a digital matte taken from several angles,

I am a complete novice in this area so need a little advise, Am I am right in thinking it is possible to create several mattes and apply them to a model in order to texture up.

I would very much like to work with someone on this, if you would be interested in taking this on as a project ,

Depending on the camera move and the amount of parallax it may be thesable but it also may be more work then UVW mapping, so it really depends on what you want to do.
