View Full Version : 2007 Animation Reel
redbeardrobbins 11-29-2007, 05:39 AM Hi everyone,
My name is Paul and I recently graduated from Full Sail in Orlando. It was a great experience albeit trying at times and I have a shiny new reel to show for it. Now I'm starting the job search. Thanks a lot for taking a look and I'd love to hear what you all think.

I've browsed the forums here for a long time and just now actually signed up. Glad to finally be here officially.
Take care.

Nice Paul, very entertaining! Is this your first reel? I liked the way you executed your sound and the rendering wasnt distracting.
Congrats on graduating and good luck with the search!!

haha nice to find ya here paul. it turned out real nice man, especially the intro good quality.
really good for the time given to ya.
a few crits though, as should any artist in the field always give, the first animation i noticed that the eye movements of the both characters were very minimal and took away from the acting. (people look at the eyes firs than the hands, thats what i follow.) also the last pose on that first animation piece for the character to the left was a little stiff. moving on, the second animation was awsome, funny, short, and good soundfx, no real crit. and third the cat's tail was a little stiff and maybe different camera shots maybe looking at the face of the cat before jumping would of been nice, also don't be afraid to push your poses way out there cause you can always turn the poses down notches. well thats about it for my critique, hope it helps and good luck in the future mate.
