Title: Happy Ceramic Buddha Exercise
Name: Florian Wild
Country: Germany
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

The inspiration came from Jeff Patton's Buddha test renders on mymentalray.com. The original model can be downloaded from the Stanford 3D Scanning Repository, the HDR images I used are all courtesy of Paul Debevec.

Its just some shading exercise, nothing special or something I would be proud of. Though I found it an interesting study on the materiality of glazed ceramic. It definitely needs more investigation. However, what's next on my list is vintage clay surface.

Incredible realism for "just an exercise".

Bottom left and top right are the bestest ones. Well done. :)

I'd have to agree with the bottom left and top right comment before. Great work though, especially considering its just an exercise. Keep up the hard work.
