Good concept! very good execution. But I have an issue.. I got shocked with the fluid being "white" .. I mean, I don't need to say what it reminds me of..

I think it would be "less" shocking if it were RED as blood .. or a pink/grey brain colour.. dunno. Maybe cleary showing as "lemon juice" .. green .. etc .. more .. surrealistic.

Last, he doesn't seem exactly like a creative type of guy, more like a builder... I thought so a few minutes after looking to the pic, It doens't make any harder to understand the meaning... Maybe a more geeky-ish Tshirt with something wrote in it like "Trade Art for Food" or something would give this image to him.

Kind of creepy work, but still very good job. I have to second the notion of the fluids being white. I was wondering what that was supposed to represent. Also, the head seems a little lopsided, but hey, it is being juiced. Some minor details could make it easier to see that he is supposed to be an artist. All told, the meaning is not hard to see, and it is a great piece to communicate it. Keep it up.

the compositing and the head shader are very well done
maybe the right side of the character should be a little darker ( his right ear and cheek) to respect the light direction.

lol. very creepy in an "ouch " kind of way. actually seemed to me to be the statement of an artist who feels exploited working in the commercial arena.. but maybe thats just me :)

the white fluid is indeed quite creepy, actually reminds me of the android's blood in the "alien" films.
but very nice man. :)

it was all good until I saw the goo that comes out the head... the color of it kinda makes it weird in my eye.... IMO green cud look more messy and disgusting in a good way.

over all nice CG/live integration...

I love it, man. You put your point across with a lot of detail. The folds on the shirt, the shaved hair with random bald posts, the juicer - everything is great.
It's a very good render, all in all. The lighting is great. Some more depth of field might be a good choice, but it's fine as it is. I'm not familiar with Cinema 4D so I can't really know what it takes to achieve this, but I can tell you it's great.

my part of work was only the head and the juicer, and some spots on the table.i start working from a sketch,and from my first render they shoot a photo.then whith the photo i integrate a new render and composed it whith photoshop.in fact i gotta say it's quite noticeable that is a photo composed with a 3d render... it's a very good job, impressive (with impressive i mean that my reaction have been "damn it's disgusting this man that juice his head" :D) but i think that the skintone gives away all the illusion, it's a bit too "cold" for the head confronting with the arm. i would have correct a bit the person, applying a couple of filters to make it fakey, or darkening the skintone on the 3d part.
btw it's a great job!

I realize that I probably stand alone in the comment I am going to make, but I hope that doesn't mean you will all hate me for it......

I happen to think the picture is disgusting. And not is a good way.... I really think the image is stupid. Personally, it doesn't matter how well the idea is done (or executed).
It seems to me that we have come to the point that any picture is praised (no matter what the actual image is) as long as it is done well and the artists skills are displayed. Art today (more than ever) is viewed as something that evokes emotion..... it doesn't matter what the emotion is, it just has to be emotion.

The one good thing is that I know that you all will respect me for me opinion, since there is no right and wrong.

I liked the overall idea and execution. I would agree about making the light on the left side of the picture (where his right ear is) a bit darker so it looks more realistic.

Also, the white sopts on the table have no reflection on the juicer and a couple of them seem to be kinda floating above the paper, lol.

I like the rest of it. An excellent work overall!

This is my kind of image. I think that the model looks like a typical creative to me, and I've worked with a few. The colour of the fluid doesn't add any extra shock to the over all image as essentially it's of a man caving his face in that we're looking at. Nicely done!!!

very realistic looking because it is (mostly comping, right?) I'd love to have seen a little more either SHREDDING of the face the way orangeskin shreds when you juice oranges or at least twisting or wringing out of the face. And yes that icky white fluid dripping out is well disturbing seems more like the fluid is being sweated out due to the (somehow) friction of the juicer rather than a head being juiced.

The connection of the ear looks really funky to me. Also it doesn't look like it has any translucency. Aside from those things and the mention of how gross the white liquid looks, it looks great. : )!

Blood red would make it 10x shocking imo. But I agree that some other colour could've worked better unless you were after exactly that connection between the name and the white "stuff" on his face. Orange juice would be classic.
