When working with a single object, how do I hide individual polygons? I've been working with sets, but have been unable to find out how to be able to hide and show collections of polygons.

Thanks for any help.

you can use the bonus game plugin for hide individual polygons.
the plugin is on the site of alias wavefront.

Cool! That looks exactly like what would do the trick. I've gone and downloaded the plugins, but now can't find out how to see them (yes, I've activated them in the Plugin Manager - although some wouldn't activate). Any further hints?

You can also select the faces you want to see and go to viewport menu show>isolate select>view selected

That works great. If you want to hide polygons, you could select the polygons you want to hide, then hold Shift down and marquee around the object so that it selects the polygons that aren't selected and deselects those that were selected. Then using Show>Isolate Select and viola!

Ben came up with the idea of the shift-select.
