It's a decent portrait but there are a few significant things that need work in my opinion.
Immediately, I noticed errors in the lips and nose. For a mostly frontal portrait such as yours, we would be able to see both nostrils but you have rendered only one. Thus, it seems like part of the nose either has been chopped off, or is drawn in a different perspective than the face.
As for the lips, they are too thick in the corners. Lips taper toward the edges and the widest parts are in the middle. While the asymmetrical smile could be interpreted by some as an error, I believe it adds a touch of character. However, this is indeed spoiled by the lack of tapering as previously mentioned.
Another feature that concerns me is the eyes. They appear to be pointing in different directions and they are every so slightly too high on the face but this is less noticeable than the missing eyebrow.
The gaze and expression feels unfocused but that may be due to the eyes not focusing in the same direction. If I disregard that, I would interpret the expression as a weak smile. While I do not necessarily think that makes the expression poor, I think knowing beforehand the particular expression you are trying to create is something important in creating a portrait.
Those critiques aside, I am pleased to see that you do not fear employing contrast in your work. That will aid you in the future. Simply keep in mind the light source's direction and anything that would prominently reflect said light.
Finally, your shading is well done in my opinion. It provides enough subtlety in certain areas while maintaining the rough but pleasing character found in pencil sketches.
Good luck with your future works.
