i like this small slimy creatures (charakters)
you must spent lot of time to make his anatomy. Or it's simple poly model with multi layer and displacement ?
How said Maximus Groff ..finy eye. It makes it gunshy...
:scream: :scream:

OMG - I almost tossed my cookies!

Looks like somebodies genitals came to life and fell off thier body.

And now to be positive;

Interesting shader and light plot.

definately gonna have to agree with the melted et comment that was posted earlier... that model makes me feel sort of dirty even for looking at it... great job!

He looks sad and painful with those eyes. Well done, and nice idea. Only think odd are claws - they could use some better shader;)

It's a great model and I really like it. :)

I posted to recommend something, though. Make his feet touching the ground. I don't think he could hold himself up by his nails.

WOW Very wired looking character. What is it? I love the attention to deatil you have for the skin. Will it be animated???

FrizzyCube
04-19-2003, 11:39 PM
Hehehe it's cute & mildly disgusting at the same time. I love it! Haha

The only crit I have for this is maybe the nails. The shape is good but there's just something about the texture & bump that makes it a little bit clean compared to the rest. Perhaps if you make it just a tad bit more worn like a few cracks, a little muddier perhaps even it'll look even more cool.

Just my thoughts. :)

Hi all!
Thanks a lot for your comments:thumbsup:
You're right about the nails (haven't spent much time on them :p)
I am very happy that you find it imaginative or disgusting :)
I will make its rigging soon. Ne1 knows a system for deforming skin realisticly on muscles in Maya?
Could Jason S. share with us his skin plugins he used at Weta ;)
If not, is there any other solution than wrap to make muscles slide under the skin?
Thanks for your help :)

I think I like it better with one eye though

Hi all!
Here is my little walk test, as promised ;)
Dare: J'ai un peu laché max, et le displace de renderman est surement le plus precis/rapide que jai vu jusqu'a maintenant. J'ai pas testé celui de Vray, il est bien?
Thanks for your feedback!

i like it if its finger is creepy. Because the whole character is soft, pointy finger doesn't fit.

I like it tho, very well done.

Really cool...
It reminds me of Eraserhead (which is a good thing).

Also, I agree about the nails.
I think what they need most is a bump map that is more linear... showing the way nails get the little ridges and imperfections as they grow (extrude).

Otherwise, very, very good work.

Cheers,

b

LOL I almost tossed my cookies when I read this, hahahahaha. That is a funny observation. :wavey: But whats scarier then being attacked by genitals.

I mean you don't want to touch it, and you definately don't want it to touch you. LOL

Great model. I love the coloring, texturing and the model. Very unique and creative at the same time. Just tell me you weren't taking a pee when you thought of this character.

Hi all!

Sorry for taking so much time to answer...
I have always wanted to make with two eyes(as on the drawing)and the model was finished when you made me see it with one eye. But I agree it would be fun to make it with one eye :)
For the "genital observation"... lol HAHAHAHAHHAHA You're so funny ,thanks for making me laugh so much.Very intresting point of view :drumrock:
Any crits on my little walktest? (just a test..don't be too hard;)
Thnaks a lot fr your kind words

wow... nice walk :)... just 1 crit: i imagines the "tummy" to be more flubberlike... so it would wobble around a bit more... seems a bit stiff atm...

other than that --> scary :D
