I meet an other problem, in Max and Maya.
I've model, and rigged a character, and after i want to make a copy of this, to do an army for example. But when i make a copy of my character, the copy isn't rigged, or if i make an instance the new character follow exactly the original.

So i want to know, how i must do it?

I hope that you understand that i say, because i speak English like a spanish cow.

In Maya:

Select the root of the rig and use the export selection operation. Make sure the "include history" option is enabled and save the rig as an isolated scene file.

Then you can import the rig as many times as you without breaking the rig.

In MAX:

Save your character in a file.

Open up a new scene and then began to merge the character from that file into the new one up to as many time as you wanted it.

Well... I don't know whether there is a better way to do this or not, but I did it using this way and it works.

Hope this helps! Good Luck! :scream:

Maybe you could give the Crowd-simulation a try.
I once played around with it a little bit and im remember that you can take one rigged and animated character and make an (if you want) army out of this one (for MAX).
I also think there is a tut within MAX.:hmm:
