Hi There,

I wonder if there should be a Virtools specific forum? This is a realtime software package has a lot of links to games and other realtime uses of realtime 3d. We use it at our company.

Since it is in the same range as Blender in my opinion, it should definitly get a forum.

Anyway check out some work we did with Virtools at Little Chicken @ www.littlechicken.nl (http://www.littlechicken.nl/)

Or just check this latest Sci Fi shooter we did, it's called Banjaku Bareeka and it's located here www.littlechicken.nl/banjaku (http://www.littlechicken.nl/banjaku)

The usual work-flow for opening a new forum is to open a thread at the General Discusions Forum with a poll included, and once the poll have gathered enought replays and attention from the general public then you contac one or two of the administratros here on CGtalk and ask him/her for a test drive based on the reactions of the poll.

That was what we did to get the Blender forum, and look, we are still on test mode, but it shows that it is possible.

I don't think it quite fits in. The rest of the forums deal with more general 3d creation tools. Blender isn't just a game creation system, it it a normal 3d app too. This sounds like just for creating games, none of the actual models or anything.

For those interested, the website is: http://www.virtools.com

I did have a look on virtools, and I've found it really nice. I think the new forum would fit fine into cgtalk. I'd be interested too, but the app. is quite expensive. A developer guy told me that sometimes the give it away cheap or free to talents.

I'd really like to see it's comparsion to Blender by anyone who has the experience with both apps.
