Hi guys, Holydays approch and I want to gat new ram. I have a ASUS P4P800-SE with 1GB(2x256 + 1x512) and I begin to see it's limit when I make big render in VRay. I thought to buy 4x1Gb to have 4Gb total on windows XP(with swich on in boot.ini)

I just wanted to be sure about the compatibility of DDR2-800 6400 with it.

From asus website (http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=12&l3=31&model=179&modelmenu=1)
Dual-Channel DDR400
Dual-channel DDR technology doubles the bandwidth of your system memory and hence boost the system performance to out perform any memory existing solutions in the market. System bottlenecks are eliminated with balanced architecture and peak bandwidths up to 6.4BG/s.

I am not very good with all this so, what do you thnik?

ddr2 wont work, your motherboard doesnt support ddr2. you need ddr-400

Upgrade that thing.

Don't even bother with spending money on that. It's socket 478 antique (no disrespect
intended). With X48 coming out in a couple weeks they are dumping P35, 965 and 600 Nvidia MB's for next to nothing.
