i think you cant see the material properties very well on the 1024x640 preview :(

nice rendering... but the only thing i donīt like is that the metal splines are going into the floor^^ there got to be some broken stone or else or they stop in front of it ;)

thx :) but if u mean the tutorial on the header image, i started already before it was out^^
and the composition is quite different
No offence but the images of Tim Borgmann (http://bt3d.cgsociety.org/gallery/325645/) were posted long before this challenge came out. And they look very similar to this image. It's not a critique, I copy others people work all the time, just because I want to be able to create something nice too. I still really like your image, in fact, it looks gorgeous, but I just don't think it's very original anymore.

i watched his hole galery, and you are right there are a lot images of fluids connected with splines. I was inspired by the fluid thing, but didnt wanted to copy the technique with the splines :(
