View Full Version : Exporting and Importing the animation to characters

hi everybody,
a question that i donno how doing it yet is that ,how can i export an animation of a character and import it to the other ?, i mean how can i do it with bones that have lots of controller,
i was wondering if you could answer me.

hmmm, with a biped you can just save the biped fro the motion panel and load it to another biped, with individual bones and other animations, I think you need to go into File-Save animation to save it, remember you need to select the object that you want their animation to be saved, to load, just File-Load animation.

yea, you can save and load the animation from the file menu. File-save animation. To do this though, you have to make sure that all the handles/anything with keyframes are selected and make sure that the characther that you are loading it on to has the same names on all the handles/anything with keyframes. when loading you have to select everything on the character that you are loading it onto as well.

but is there a way for impoting it on a character in other 3d aplications
for example iport that to xsi or maya?

This can be achieved with the fbx exporter.
